These terms govern your use of Check by Check, including the free service and the Pro service. Please read them before using the app. For questions, contact us using the details on this page.
By downloading or using the app, you accept these terms. If you do not accept them, do not use the app and you may uninstall it. If you are under the age of majority where you live, a parent or guardian must accept these terms and manage the app.
Check by Check is a family habit-tracking app. You may create sheets, print them on A4 paper, tick or fill boxes on paper, and scan to record points. The app provides a free service and a Pro service and does not require an account. The features available follow the then-current version and the in-app description.
The free service is available after installation, at no charge, with no expiry and without an account. It includes creating sheets, printing, ticking or filling, scanning, scoring, and weekly reports. Current limits are: 1 member, 1 active sheet, 15 scans per month, 10 custom tasks and 10 custom rewards, and 5 custom categories. Calendar reminders and iCloud sync are not included. Limits shown in the app at the time of use apply. We may adjust free-service limits and will describe any change in a version update.
The Pro service adds higher limits to the free service, and includes adding tasks to the system calendar, a weekend scan reminder, and optional iCloud sync. Current entitlements include unlimited members, active sheets, monthly scans, and custom tasks, rewards, and categories. Pro is currently available as a monthly or yearly subscription. If a lifetime purchase is offered in the app, it is a one-time payment and does not auto-renew. Plans and prices shown by the App Store and the in-app plans screen apply. When a subscription ends or a lifetime entitlement is no longer valid, existing data is not deleted. Members and sheets beyond the free limits become read-only; editing and scanning resume when Pro is reactivated.
Monthly and yearly plans are auto-renewing subscriptions. The yearly plan includes a 7-day free trial. Prices are shown by the App Store for your region. Unless auto-renew is turned off at least 24 hours before the period ends, Apple charges the then-current price within the 24 hours before renewal. Cancelling during a free trial incurs no charge; if it is not cancelled, it converts to a paid subscription when the trial ends. A free trial is normally available once per Apple Account. Subscriptions must be managed and cancelled in Settings → Apple Account → Subscriptions; we cannot do this for you. All three plans support Family Sharing. After a device change or reinstall, restore purchases in the app with the Apple Account used for the original purchase.
All payments are processed by Apple and billed to your Apple Account. We do not receive your payment details. Refunds are handled by Apple under its policy and may be requested at reportaproblem.apple.com. We cannot issue refunds directly. These terms do not affect consumer rights you have under the law where you live.
We grant you a personal, non-transferable, non-exclusive licence to use the app for family and personal purposes on Apple devices you own or control. You may not reverse-engineer, rent, or resell the app, or circumvent subscription checks. The code, interface, illustrations, mascots, sheet layout, and wording remain the developer’s property. You may print sheets for household use and share a PDF with relatives or a teacher. You may not sell them commercially, distribute them in bulk, or remove the marks and present the work as your own. As the app is distributed through the App Store, Apple’s standard end-user licence agreement also applies; if they conflict, the version more favourable to you prevails. Read Apple’s standard EULA
Member names, tasks, rewards, notes, and point records you create in the app belong to you. This content is stored on your device by default. We obtain no right to use it and cannot access or restore it. You are responsible for backup and safekeeping. Keep a PDF of sheets that matter.
The app is for habit records within a household. Do not use it to log behaviour that a person does not agree to have recorded, as a surveillance or punishment tool, or to create a profile for another person without consent. It is not suitable for clinical, legal, or workplace-evaluation use. Paper, supplies, and hardware for printing are your responsibility. Print at A4 and 100% scale; rescaling may affect recognition. Printed sheets may contain names and routines; keep them securely and dispose of them when no longer needed.
The app is provided as is. Recognition depends on print quality, lighting, and how the photo was taken, and errors may occur. A review screen is shown after each scan; check the result before confirming. The app is a household record-keeping tool and does not provide medical, psychological, or educational advice. To the extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect loss, lost data, or consequences of relying on a recognition result. Our total liability will not exceed the amount you actually paid for the app in the preceding twelve months. Liability that the law does not permit us to exclude remains unaffected.
We may add or remove features, or adjust plans, in version updates. For a price change that disadvantages an active subscription, Apple seeks consent under its rules. You may cancel a subscription and uninstall the app at any time, which ends these terms. If these terms change materially, we will update the date on this page and, where appropriate, note it in the app. Nothing here affects rights you have under mandatory consumer-protection law where you live.
