These Terms of Use govern your access to and use of Check by Check and its related services, including the respective rights and obligations of you and the provider. Downloading or using the app means you accept these terms. If you do not accept them, please do not use the app; if it is already installed, simply delete it. If you are under the age of majority where you live, a parent or guardian should accept on your behalf and manage the app.
We grant you a personal, non-transferable, non-exclusive licence to use the app for family and personal purposes on Apple devices you own or control. You may not decompile, reverse-engineer, rent or resell the app, or attempt to circumvent subscription checks. As the app is distributed through the App Store, Apple’s standard end-user licence agreement also applies; where the two differ, whichever is more favourable to you prevails. Pro is sold as an auto-renewing subscription, currently on a monthly and a yearly cycle, with the yearly plan including a 7-day free trial. Prices are shown by the App Store for your region. Unless auto-renew is switched off at least 24 hours before the period ends, Apple charges the then-current price within the 24 hours before renewal. Cancelling during a free trial costs nothing; leaving it running converts it to a paid subscription when the trial ends. Subscriptions are managed and cancelled in system Settings under Apple Account → Subscriptions; we cannot do it for you.
All payments are handled by Apple and billed to your Apple Account; we never touch your payment details. Refunds are likewise decided by Apple under its own policy and can be requested at reportaproblem.apple.com. We have no power to refund directly, though we are glad to help you explain the situation. Nothing here limits the consumer rights you hold under the law where you live.
Everything you create in the app — member names, tasks, rewards, dedications, point history — belongs to you. We gain no rights to use it, because it sits on your device by default where we can neither see it nor fetch it. By the same token, backing it up is your responsibility: we cannot restore data lost to a deletion, a broken device or an accident. Keep a PDF of the sheets that matter.
Please use the app for keeping habit records inside a household. Don’t use it to log behaviour someone does not want logged, don’t turn it into a surveillance or punishment device, and don’t create a profile for another person without their agreement. The app is not suitable for clinical, legal or workplace-evaluation use.
Paper, ink and hardware for printing are yours to provide; their cost and any printer-compatibility trouble fall outside what this app is responsible for. Print at A4 and 100% scale — rescaling affects recognition. A printed sheet carries a child’s name and routine, so handle it as you would any other household document and dispose of it when it is no longer needed.
The code, interface, illustrations, mascots, sheet layout and wording of this app remain the developer’s property. Print as many sheets as your family needs and pass a PDF to relatives or a teacher if that helps; please don’t sell them commercially, publish them in bulk, or strip the marks and present the work as your own.
The app is provided as is. Recognition depends on print quality, lighting and how the photo was taken, so misreads are possible — which is why a review screen appears after every scan. Please check the result before confirming. This is a household record-keeping tool, not a medical, psychological or educational diagnostic product, and it offers no professional advice. To the fullest extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect loss, lost data, or consequences of relying on a recognition result; in any case our total liability will not exceed what you actually paid for the app in the preceding twelve months. None of this excludes liability that the law does not permit us to exclude.
Features may be added or removed with new versions, and plans may change. For a price change that disadvantages an active subscription, Apple asks for your consent under its own rules. You may cancel and delete the app at any time, which ends these terms. If the terms themselves change materially, we update the date on this page and, where it matters, say so inside the app.
