This policy describes how Check by Check handles your information. The app does not require an account and does not operate a developer server.
The app does not require an account, does not operate a user server, does not perform advertising tracking, and does not upload scan photos, points, or member profiles to servers controlled by the developer. It includes no third-party analytics, crash-reporting, or advertising SDK. The App Store privacy label lists no collected data types.
Sheets, print records, points, member profiles, custom tasks and rewards, achievement progress, and preferences are stored by default only in the app database on this device, for the purpose of providing the app’s functions. This data does not leave the device automatically.
Scan photos are recognized and scored entirely on the device and do not require a network connection. They are not written to the system photo library and are not included in iCloud sync. An image is kept in the app’s directory only while its scan record is retained, and is deleted when that record or the app is deleted.
Camera: to photograph and recognize a sheet. Photo library (add only): only when you save a share QR code. Calendar: only when a Pro user adds a scan reminder. Local network: only to discover AirPrint printers. These permissions may be revoked at any time in system Settings; revocation affects only the corresponding feature.
The free plan runs locally only and does not create an iCloud container. A Pro user may enable sync, which stores points and sheets in the private iCloud database under that user’s Apple ID. The developer cannot read this private database. Scan photos are excluded from sync. After sync is turned off, new data is no longer uploaded. Already synced content remains subject to Apple’s iCloud terms and may be deleted in the system’s iCloud storage settings.
The app is intended for family use and is managed by a parent on their device. Member profiles are stored only on that device. We do not collect personal information directly from children and do not use member profiles for advertising or analytics. The app has no chat, social, or public-publishing features.
Subscriptions, trials, and purchase restoration are processed through the Apple App Store. Apple handles payment information; we do not receive card numbers or billing addresses. The app receives from the system only whether a Pro entitlement is currently active. This processing is subject to Apple’s Media Services terms and privacy policy.
Apart from Apple system services (App Store purchases, optional iCloud, AirPrint, and the system calendar and photo library), the app does not communicate with third-party services and does not include third-party SDKs. We do not sell, rent, or exchange user data.
You may delete members, sheets, scan records, and point entries in the app. Deleting the app removes local data. If iCloud sync was enabled, also delete the app’s data under Settings → Apple Account → iCloud → Manage Account Storage. We do not hold a copy of user data and therefore cannot process deletion requests.
If our data practices change materially, we will update this page and the publication date. Any new data collection will be disclosed in the app and will require consent.
